The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, we deliver extensive health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live in and travel through remote, rural and regional Australia.
The Manager – Governance, Partnerships & Engagement will lead a team and develop the strategy for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, South Eastern Section in the areas of Clinical Governance, Risk, Quality and Safety, Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement and Community and Consumer Engagement. The strategy will focus on a 5-year plan to create the elements necessary to progress the Health Service towards a leading rural and remote health service, with a focus on quality, safety, continuous improvement and systems.
The Manager - Governance, Partnerships & Engagement will be expected to work between our Sydney, Dubbo and Broken Hill bases, leading the portfolio for the South Eastern Section.
Reporting to the General Manager Health Services your responsibilities will include, but are NOT limited to:
- Provide strategic leadership in Health Service Governance;
- Guide and facilitate the quality and safety agenda for clinical services;
- Support teams to achieve successful accreditation against NSQHSS, ISO 9001:2016, Australian General Practice and other bodies as required;
- Lead the engagement programs both internally and externally ensuring a focus on patient centred care, individuals, communities, partnerships and collaborations;
- Develop and guide a stakeholder and partnership plan that aligns with the strategic directions of the Health Service, the risk, quality and safety directions and the community and stakeholder engagement plan.
- Tertiary Qualifications in a health-related field including organizational, community and/clinical Governance.
- Current Registration with regulatory body – AHPRA.
- Post graduate qualifications in related field (or working towards).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working at a mid to senior level of management.
- Relevant experience in governance, engagement or related field.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
