The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) South Eastern Section is one of the world's largest and most respected aeromedical organisations. For more than two decades, our Dental Services team has been delivering vital oral healthcare to rural and remote communities across New South Wales, helping improve health outcomes for people who might otherwise have limited access to care.
We are seeking passionate andexperiencedDentists with a minimum 2years' experience to join our dedicated team, providing clinical services across our network from our Dubbo and Broken Hill bases.
This is a unique opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with meaningful work that directly improves the lives of Australians living in some of the country's most underserved communities.
About the Role
As part of our mobile and fixed-site dental services, you will:
- Deliver high-quality dental care in remote single chair clinics and in our purpose-built Mobile Dental Van
- Travel throughout rural and remote NSW, supporting communities with limited access to oral healthcare
- Manage a broad range of dental presentations across diverse patient groups
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team committed to improving rural health outcomes
- Provide patient-centered care while promoting oral health education and prevention
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current unrestricted registration as a Dentist with AHPRA
- A genuine interest in rural, remote, or public dentistry
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously and adapt to varying clinical environments
- The ability to work in single chair clinics with mentoring and support via Telehealth (phone/teams)
- A culturally sensitive and patient-focused approach
Experience treating patients with complex medical histories will be highly regarded
