The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is a leader in the field of aeromedicine using the latest in aviation and medical technology. We maintain a 24-hour emergency service to deliver comprehensive health care to those who live in and travel through remote, rural and regional Australia.
We are now seeking applications and expressions of interest for a current vacancy for a Line Pilot position.
This is an exciting opportunity for Pilots who wish to fly modern aircraft with the latest avionics operating in remote communities, regional areas and capital cities. Minimum requirements for this position:

As a part of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations the role requires pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Candidates are required to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), a current Driver’s Licence and must undergo working with children and police checks. Some of our contracts require evidence of immunity or vaccination against certain diseases.

- Australian CPL with ATPL subjects
- Instrument Rating with 4 IPCs
- Class 1 Medical
- Total time – 2500 Hours
- Total time in command – 2000 Hours
- Total time – multi engine – 500 Hours
- Night experience – 200 Hours
- Instrument time – 100 Hours
- Turbine experience is preferred but not required
- Australian citizenship, residency or an approved work visa
