Nurse Practitioner (Broken Hill)
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. From its Broken Hill Base, the RFDS South Eastern Section provides emergency retrievals, inter-hospital transport, comprehensive primary health clinics at 17 different sites with GPs, Nurses, Aboriginal Health, Mental Health, Dental services, Traditional Fly Clinics, Primary Health Mobile Clinics - Nurse Lead, Respiratory Clinics, General Practice, medical chests and telehealth consultations to those living and travelling in Far-West NSW, South-West Queensland and Northern South Australia. The Section also works in partnership with local health services to implement primary health care in the communities served by the Section.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section) is now looking for a suitably experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the team at Clive Bishop Medical Centre at Broken Hill.
This Full Time position will be a part of a multi-disciplinary health care team providing high quality, patient centred, comprehensive Primary Health Care within Clive Bishop Medical Centre, as well as intermittently in other RFDSSE rural and remote locations when required.

We are looking for a candidate with:
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Master of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner
- Authorised to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) together with demonstrated ability to meet the ANMC competencies for the Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated advanced competency for Nurse Practitioner in Primary Health and evidence of more than 5,000 hours of advanced practice in Primary Health within the last 6 years.
- Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries to the delivery of patient care in the context of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Commitment to quality improvement evidence-based practice and ability to influence organisational change.
- Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage and collaborate with managers and members of the multidisciplinary team.
