About us

The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern (RFDS SE) Section delivers essential emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services to remote, rural and regional communities.

The role

As Fundraising Assistant, you will be the main point of contact for generous community members and groups who are raising funds to keep the Flying Doctor flying. By supporting and acknowledging fundraisers as they plan and manage their fundraising events, you will build important relationships enhance our standing in the community. You will also manage all administration requirements in line with our fundraising process. Each day will be different and you will be constantly inspired by the generous fundraisers you work with. The passion and creativity you'll come across will be second to none.

Your skills and experience

• Friendly and positive team player who is an energetic self-starter
• Exceptional customer service skills to help fundraisers organise their fabulous events
• Creative problem solver who can support our fundraisers to achieve their goals.
• Enjoy building relationships and proactively contacting fundraisers to guide them through their fundraising journey.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and customer relationship management databases (Raisers Edge or Thank Q)

Desirable criteria

• Experience in not-for-profit fundraising and events
• Proficient understanding of fundraising industry standards and regulatory requirements
