Four new members have been appointed to the RFDS WA Board, further strengthening its governance and leadership following the appointment of incoming Chair Mr Rob Slocombe in February 2026.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service WA is proud to appoint Ms Cheryl Chan, Ms Fiona Hick, Mr Colin Keel and Ms Adrienne Parker to the Board, commencing April 2026.
RFDS WA Board Chair Mr Walsh AO said the appointments come at a pivotal time for the organisation.
“These appointments reflect our focus on strong governance and ensuring RFDS WA is well positioned for the future. Our four new Board members bring a huge range of experience across aviation, infrastructure, law, governance, business and health,” Mr Walsh said.
Cheryl Chan is an accomplished non-executive director and lawyer with extensive experience across health, aged care, energy and resources and professional services. She is recognised for her expertise in governance, organisational risk, culture and workforce strategy.
Fiona Hick is a highly experienced non-executive director and engineer with 30 years involvement in the WA resources sector. Her career has spanned operational, safety, technology and governance roles including executive leadership as CEO and Executive Vice President Operations for two of Western Australia’s largest resources companies.
Colin Keel is a well-regarded non-executive director in Australia and New Zealand. He has held a broad range of executive leadership roles across the aviation, infrastructure and transport sectors.
Adrienne Parker is a highly experienced lawyer and non-executive director with more than 25 years’ experience in infrastructure and resources. She brings deep expertise in governance, risk management, strategy and large-scale project delivery.
Mr Walsh said the appointments come as the RFDS WA continues to evolve to meet growing demand across the state.
“The RFDS in WA plays a vital role in delivering life-saving health care across some of the most remote parts of the State and each of our new Board members is bringing a commitment to the delivery of essential health services to the communities who rely upon us,” Mr Walsh said.
