An opportunity exists for an experienced Mental Health Worker to join Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) Tasmania based in the Break O’Day Municipality (St Helens).

Royal Flying Doctor Service Tasmania is looking to recruit a fixed term, 0.8fte part-time Mental Health Support Worker to join our Primary Health Care team.

The role will provide mild to moderate intensity mental health services to individuals living on the east coast of Tasmania. The successful candidate will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering evidence-based mental health support and recovery-focussed intervention.

The mental health support worker role is to deliver community-based services providing treatment, support and education for individuals living in the community and surrounding rural towns in the region. The provision of services will be delivered from an office based in St Helens, community outreach and via Telehealth.

The position will be offered for an initial period up until 30th June 2021 with the possibility of a further contract extension depending on future funding. Remuneration will be based on qualifications and experience (Health Professionals & Support Services Award).
