The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) was officially formed in 1960 but has grown steadily from being a sole aeromedical service to now providing a professional and dedicated team who deliver a holistic health care service across most of the local government municipalities in Tasmania.
We work in partnership with general practitioners, allied health professionals and local service providers to deliver physical health and mental health programs, as well as an award-winning outreach dental program. Our vision is to improve the health outcomes for all Tasmanians with a specific focus on remote and rural areas.
We are one of six RFDS operating sections (Central Operations, QLD section, South Eastern section, Victorian section, Western Operations and Tasmania section) which make up RFDS Australia. About the Role
A part-time opportunity is available, working 30.4 hours per week, spread over four full days, in our Launceston office.
This position reports to the CEO and the successful incumbent will primarily be responsible for fundraising calls and taking donations over the phone. The role will also entail maintaining the donations email address and database, fundraising events management, corporate client/donor meetings and public speaking, and managing our RFDS volunteers.
This position will work collaboratively with the RFDS Media and Marketing Officer and provide coverage for periods of leave and vice versa, when this position takes leave. As such, you will also assist with website and social media management.

About You
For your application to be considered, you will have relevant qualifications in fundraising, project management, marketing or business. You will also have demonstrated experience in a similar position or be confident in liaising with individuals and organisations about fundraising/donations.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, supporters, schools, government and community organisations. You will be professional in your approach and appearance.
You will be super organised, have high attention to detail and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You will be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, as well as CRM and social media platforms. You will also be able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
Further essential requirements for this role are a Tasmanian Drivers Licence, Current First Aid and CPR Certificate, Current National Police Check, Working with Vulnerable People Check and up-to-date COVID- 19 vaccinations.
