ORAL HEALTH THERAPIST

Oral Health Therapist - Full time

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Oral Health Therapist to join the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Tasmania community-based mobile dental care team to provide dental services to diverse, rural and remote locations across the North West, North and East Coast of Tasmania.

This role is a full-time position, traveling across Tasmania each week to selected locations to address the high, unmet dental care needs of communities with consideration of funding requirements.


This position will involve weekly travel to rural communities and needs an experienced oral health therapist who:

> Can give input to improve the RFDS Tasmania Mobile Dental Program;
> Believes in a community-based approach to dental care;
> Is a qualified general oral health therapist, registered in Australia;
> Will provide high-quality dental care in accordance with clinical standards and policies;
> Has strong patient communication skills and the ability to lead a dental team; and
> Maintains high standards of infection control.

To be successful, you need to possess:

> Minimum of 4 years’ experience;
> Current Working with Vulnerable People check;
> Current First Aid, CPR and immunisation records; and
> Current driver's license.
