Meet Andrew and his mate Bosko!
Ten years ago, Andrew (pictured left) fell down the open side of a mine shaft in Western Australia and sustained serious head injuries which left him with epilepsy.
Andrew was retrieved by the RFDS who provided him with in-flight medical care while on the way to Perth to access specialist care.
Today, as a way of giving back, Andrew and Bosko have carefully curated a children’s book ‘Dwayne’s First Flight’ to help raise vital funds for the RFDS.
The book follows the journey of an RFDS aircraft named 'Dwayne' who has an important mission but has never flown in the dark before.
At the heart of the book is a message about friendship, courage and resilience in the face of fear.
