RFDS Western Operations has an opportunity for a Workforce Development Advisor (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) to join the Workforce Development team at our Jandakot Base on a 12 month maximum term contract working 3 days per week (0.6 FTE).

The Role


The Workforce Development Team is highly regarded at Western Operations, working hand in hand with organisational leaders to deliver on our vision and strategy with a strong focus on using people insights to define and drive actionable results.

The team is made up of passionate, high-performing and collaborative professionals who focus on coaching, enabling and empowering leaders to promote the most engaging culture.

The Workforce Development Advisor will play a pivotal role in promoting cultural understanding and competency aligned to our Reconciliation Action Plan. This position requires deep cultural knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster an inclusive and respectful work environment where diversity is celebrated.

- Provide guidance, expertise, and support on cultural matters.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that promote cultural competency and foster an inclusive workplace culture.
- Conduct cultural assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for enhancing cultural competence.
- Provide insights and recommendations on policies, practices, and programs that support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
- Foster partnerships and collaborate with external organisations, community groups, and cultural experts to support diversity and inclusion efforts.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

- Deep understanding of cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, theories, and best practices.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
