Principal Research Advisor
We are currently seeking a Principal Research Advisor to lead and facilitate a broad focus and developing foundations in innovative research with consideration of but not limited to, health, new technologies, environment, logistics relevant RFDS WO services and the communities we serve.
About the Role
The role will be responsible for the planning, coordination and development of all research activities, protocols and establishments of policies and procedures. The Principal Research Advisor will monitor the progress of research activities, maintain records, and coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of research data.
The Principal Research Advisor will report to the General Manager – Clinical, on a full-time 12-month Maximum Term contract.
About You
You will have previous experience in a similar role, and be able to demonstrate experience in research, with a sound understanding of community research-based principles. You will have the ability to manage and coordinate programs in a broad context, and have experience in using research information systems, technologies, and applications. This successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, can analyse data and provide meaningful insight into research data. In addition, you will have the ability to facilitate and communicate with all levels of the organisation and the ability to engage external stakeholders.

The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every member of the RFDS WO team contributes to that mission and living our values of showing respect, demonstrating fairness, utilising diversity and being safe. Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA. A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care. Its 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State.
