Performance Support Officer
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Western Operations is seeking a Performance Support Officer to join our team on a 0.8 FTE basis. This vital role supports aeromedical performance by managing data capture, administration, and information dissemination tasks. Working closely with the Regional Operations Centre and Data Teams, the successful candidate will support the organisation’s compliance with contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About you
- Highly detail-oriented and organized, with strong administrative skills.
- Proficient in data administration and reporting, with experience in operational performance monitoring preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience or qualifications in data administration or aeromedical performance is desirable.
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
About the role
- Support accurate and reliable entry of operational data in relevant systems.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting aeromedical performance to ensure compliance with KPIs.
- Support identification of strategies to address aeromedical performance and availability shortfalls.
- Provide support in reviewing and briefing aeromedical rosters for unified reporting.
- In collaboration with the RFDS Data team, support data remediation activities to maintain data integrity.
- Provide administrative assistance in managing submissions for KPI compliance and eligible relief events.

About Us
The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every member of the RFDS WO team contributes to that mission and living our values of showing respect, demonstrating fairness, utilising diversity and being safe. Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA. A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care. RFDS crews are committed to providing the finest care to the furthest corners of the State, using the highest standards of clinical care, aviation safety and technology to make a difference to people living and working across WA – the largest and most remote health jurisdiction in the world.
The RFDS in WA operates five bases in Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and Meekatharra. Our 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State. We work in partnership with government, business and the community, and are proud to work on Country with Aboriginal medical services and many local service providers.
In 2024, the RFDS WO launched a new five-year strategy ‘Above and Beyond’, which will mark an important new chapter in the long Flying Doctor history. The strategy will include a focus on expanding remote health clinics in some of WA’s most vulnerable communities, expanding our profit-for-purpose services, strengthening our workforce, harnessing technology and addressing our environmental sustainability.
