Paramedicine Lead

We are currently seeking a Paramedicine Lead, to provide strategic guidance and oversight of governance for the new clinical framework for Paramedicine. The Paramedicine Lead will be responsible for the delivery of the Paramedicine clinical practice, training and development, risk management, ensuring a consistent and safe delivery of Paramedic clinical practices across RDFS WO. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the day to day supervision of a team of Paramedics, Nurses (Industrial), Emergency Services Officers and will support operational delivery.

About you

As a Paramedicine Lead you will have significant experience in Paramedical Operations across a diverse range of industries. You will be able to demonstrate your experience in delivering clinical services to remote and rural environments with strong leadership skills in managing multi-disciplinary teams. Additionally, you will have experience in the design and delivery of education and training to the team.

At times there may be a requirement for site visits and operational support and some degree of flexibility in this regard will be expected.

About the role

- Design, implement and deliver an educational framework in Paramedicine in conjunction with the clinical team.
- Design, implement and maintain policies and procedures.
- Contribute expertise in the discipline of Paramedicine in the development of a strong clinical governance framework.
- Ensure clinical services delivered by RFDS meet legislative and regulatory requirements and clinical safety standards.
- Contribute to the management of clinical case reviews, incidents, and complaints.
- Provide technical leadership and professional advice in clinical matters.
- Leadership of the Paramedicine Team including but not limited to; recruitment, roster management onboarding and day to day supervision.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:

- A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Paramedic.
- Substantive experience in paramedicine, clinical governance, risk management and education design and delivery.
- Knowledge of resource workforce management.
- Experience delivering services in regional and remote environments.
- Strong decision-making and organisational skills.
- Proven experience in building and leading teams.
