Paramedic Educator

Reporting to the Paramedicine Lead, we are currently seeking a Paramedicine Educator, to develop and deliver the educational content and training frameworks to the Paramedicine Workforce at RFDS WO, which includes a team of Paramedics, Relievers, Nurses (Industrial) and Emergency Service Officers.



This role will also provide clinical relief to various sites in the resources, oil and gas and other private sectors, ensuring safe and quality care of patients with clinical excellence and customer focus.



This position will be based at Jandakot on a full-time basis on a Maximum Term contract until December 2026. You will be required to relieve to sites and provide operational support as a paramedic, and a degree of flexibility in this regard will be expected.



About you

As a Paramedicine Educator you will have extensive experience in the design, development, delivery and assessment of clinical education and training frameworks. You will be able to build strong relationships with a diverse stakeholder group and be able to communication effectively to achieve successful outcomes. You will hold a current AHPRA Registration as a Paramedic. It would also be highly desirable for you to hold a post graduate qualification in education.



About the role

- Develop educational content, including eLearning, simulation scenario training and workshops in collaboration with Head of Clinical Training and Education, Paramedicine Lead and the client
- Deliver education and training to the Paramedicine workforce
- Design competency framework and assessments for Paramedicine workforce
- Detail any competency issues, discuss and assist the Paramedicine Lead with the development and delivery of appropriate training measures
- Contribute expertise in the discipline of Paramedicine in the development of a strong clinical governance framework including accreditation standards
- Support in the development of policies and procedures ensuring they are fit for purpose
- Provision of clinical mentoring and leadership
- Participation in clinical and operation working group as required
- Ensure compliance in mandatory certifications and training requirements
- Provide clinical advice and operational guidance as required
- Be active in the development of research opportunities relevant to RFDS WO and the Paramedicine Team
- Providing relief for Paramedic duties throughout WA and NT, for planned and unplanned leave (sometimes at short notice). Coverage may be for full swings of 7, 12 or 21 days or partial coverage of a swing.
