ICT Support Technician
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) has an outstanding history of service and excellence in aero-medical and primary health care across Australia. We are looking for an ICT Technician to join our dynamic and committed IT team based in Jandakot! Full-time, fixed term role for 12 months.
Take the opportunity to provide ICT support in a geographically spread WA organisation! As an ICT Support Technician, you will be part of our Corporate Services team located in Jandakot. A focus of the role will be delivering excellent customer service whilst resolving end user device and systems related ICT issues. Become a critical part of our support team who enable RFDS to deliver the finest care to the furthest corner of Australia.
We are seeking an experienced ICT Technician who can demonstrate the following:
High level of interpersonal and customer service skills with experience working in a team environment
Problem solving skills and the ability to prioritise and respond to multiple sequential requests
Rectify Hardware, Operating Systems and Applications issues
Fundamental knowledge in supporting a Wide Area Network
Your responsibilities of the role will include:
Providing an initial point of contact for ICT Helpdesk enquiries
Gather necessary information from requesters in order to resolve the issue upon first contact else escalate complex issues as required
Communicate status of pending issues to requesters
Categorise and maintain a log of all requests to assist with timely resolution
Support hardware and software maintenance and installations
Support Windows Desktop
Understand Windows Server roles and dependencies
Support IOS managed device fleet
Essential Criteria:
Minimum 2 years prior experience in an IT Service Desk role making use of a ticketing system
Minimum 2 years prior experience in supporting end-users with MS Office, Sharepoint and MS Windows
Minimum 2 years prior experience supporting Active Directory, Office 365 and Azure AD
Minimum 2 years prior experience in Microsoft Exchange mailbox administration
Prior experience managing SOE environments with SCCM and Endpoint Manager (InTune)
Prior experience with Mobile Device Management platforms
Prior experience in End User Citrix Support
Exceptional hardware and software diagnostic skills
Cyber-Security aware and focussed on educating others
Team player and self-motivated
Excellent oral communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Desirable Criteria:
Virtual Server fundamentals
Windows Server Administration
Exchange Server Administration
Sharepoint Server Administration
SQL Server Administration
Network troubleshooting
Experience with Cisco Webex Administration
AWS cloud platform insight
Networking, DHCP and DNS Fundamentals
