The Royal Flying Doctor Service has an outstanding history of service excellence in aero-medical and primary health care across Australia. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, delivered by a dedicated team of professionals, we deliver both 24-hour emergency services and everyday essential health care. Operating in WA since the 1930's we have five major Regional bases, plus extensive medical, aviation and corporate facilities at Jandakot, a fleet of 15 aircraft, and approximately 300 staff.

We are looking for a collaborative, highly organised professional to serve as our Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) Manager. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of occupational health and safety requirements and workplace evaluations as well as sound knowledge of applicable regulations and laws. A demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and influence senior management is essential.

As the HS&E Manager, and working in collaboration with the Safety & Quality Manager Aviation, you will provide leadership in health, safety and environmental activities across the organisation, and contribute to the organisation's achievement of creating a safe working environment that supports a safety culture.

Reporting to the General Manager People and Culture, you will also be responsible for coordinating the management of workplace injuries, and acting as the Return to Work Coordinator together with ensuring that OHS activities are completed and audited in a timely manner. In addition, you will be required to form strong relationships with all managers to prepare and negotiate Return to Work and injury prevention programs, identify injury trends and patterns and contribute to developing strategic OHS action plans to improve safety performance across the organisation.
