Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control (HAAMC)

We are currently seeking a Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control (HAAMC) to join our Aviation team based in Jandakot. Reporting to the Manager Engineering, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuing airworthiness and maintenance control of all aircraft operated under the RFDS Western Operations Air Operators Certificate. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement, you will be responsible for understanding aviation legislation and how it applies to aircraft airworthiness, as well as actively promoting safety in the workplace.
About you
You will possess a demonstrable track record in aviation maintenance control or planning, as well as being an active participant in safety investigations. You will hold exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to communicate how legislation is translated into real world applications. Your leadership style is actively demonstrated by your ability to operate under pressure while maintaining an approachable, organised and professional demeanor. Your eligibility for the role will require you to pass a CASA HAAMC interview and assessment.
About the role
All requirements as mandated by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for the HAAMC role
Ensure compliance to maintenance and airworthiness standards, in regard to both legislated and industry best practice
Ensure timely generation and provision of work packages and maintenance documentation
Ensure maintenance of the logbooks and aircraft maintenance-controlled data
Review Airworthiness Directives for applicability and compliance
Aircraft trend and condition monitoring
Undertake safety investigations when designated as AIRs Master Manager
Demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement strategies
