We are presently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our Engineering Department as a General Hand. This person will be key in ensuring that RFDS Western Operations aircraft are kept to the highest level of presentation and cleanliness. They will also provide general, non-technical support the department.
This is a unique entry level opportunity where you will be developed and supported to build a career with the RFDS.
About the role
- Internal cleaning and presentation to the highest standard for all RFDS West Ops aircraft and reporting any damage found.
- General upkeep of hangar and work areas.
- Maintaining the aircraft cleaning register.
- Liaising with Operations and Engineering to ensure availability of aircraft for cleaning.
- Ensuring engineering hanger consumables are well stocked.
- Non-technical assistance to Aircraft Engineers.
- Assisting Aviation Stores with the movement and packaging of stock and parts.
- Assist with maintenance of tooling and support equipment.
About you
- Full drivers licence
- Experience working in a mechanical environment (desirable)
- Experience in or knowledge of the Aviation industry (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail
