Fundraising and Philanthropy Manager

This is a rare opportunity to join Australia’s most trusted charity as Fundraising and Philanthropy Manager.
You will be responsible for acquiring and stewarding our amazing supporters with the highest possible standards across programs including regular appeals, major gifts, bequests, auxiliary and community fundraising, and grants.
You will have the opportunity to build and maintain meaningful relationships with individuals and groups who support the RFDS to deliver our essential services to regional WA.
The Fundraising and Philanthropy Manager will oversee the governance and financial management of this portfolio to ensure the highest standards of integrity and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for managing a small team to deliver excellent donor care and stewardship, maximizing the use of our new CRM system Raisers’ Edge NXT.
You will work in close collaboration with our Communications and Marketing and Partnerships and Engagement colleagues to deliver high quality campaigns, appeals, events and engagement activities.
You will develop relationships across our organisation to ensure a pipeline of major gifts.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 10 years’ experience in fundraising, philanthropy, community engagement or other relevant roles.
- Outstanding relationship management and interpersonal skills and experience.
- Proven ability to develop fundraising and philanthropy program strategies and effectively implement them.
- Experience in successfully leading a small team.
- Ability to oversee regular campaigns and appeals.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Raisers’ Edge, for effective donor care, market segmentation and analysis.
- The confidence to network, meet new people, engage with people inside and outside our organisation and deliver community presentations.
- Attention to detail in budgeting, financial management and fundraising governance.
- The highest standards of ethics and integrity to ensure the interests of our donors, patients, team members and finances are protected.
- Effective written skills including for donor communications, reports, proposals and correspondence.
- A positive, flexible and collaborative mindset.
