Data Entry Officer
The RFDS are searching for a Data Entry Officer to join our team based in Jandakot. The Data Entry Officer is responsible for maintaining records and statistics for medical and operational data.
This role is a permanent vacancy working 0.6 FTE.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in data entry work.
- Experience in data coding and classification.
- Impeccable attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Experience working with database systems, spreadsheets and word processing tools.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
About the role
- Plan and organise workload to meet varying deadlines.
- Collate source documents, identify and interpret data to be entered.
- Validate all appropriate documentation and data has been received and trace missing information.
- Input and update Patient Medical Records, Clinic Records, Flight Manifests and other relevant information into or within specific electronic systems.
- Ensure all data collected and entered into systems is consistently accurate and complete.
- Identify and correct errors.
- Train staff and respond to their queries.
- Translate descriptions of medical diagnosis and procedures into a universal coding system.
- Investigate incomplete, inconsistent, or conflicting data and correct as required.
- Liaise with RFDS operational staff, hospital staff or charter companies regarding data queries.

The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every member of the RFDS WO team contributes to that mission and living our values of showing respect, demonstrating fairness, utilising diversity and being safe.
