The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) has an outstanding history of service and excellence in aero-medical and primary health care across Australia. One of Australia’s most iconic brands, every hour of every day the RFDS is performing lifesaving work across Western Australia.

The RFDS has an urgent requirement for highly motivated, career-minded Critical/ Advanced Care Nurses to join our team, providing support and healthcare services to our client's employees keeping them healthy and safe while aiming to reduce workplace injuries. This role includes providing emergency response and primary healthcare to site personnel.

This opportunity is available on a full-time permanent even time roster basis (7 on, 7 off). This successful applicants will join our existing DIDO operations located close to Darwin.

Due to current border restrictions, candidates must be based in NT or willing to move to the NT at their own expense.

To be successful in the role you will require:


Current AHPRA Registration (Unrestricted);
Evidence of 3 years relevant experience working in an Advanced/Intensive Care Nursing environment;
Driver’s License C Class (Manual);
Advanced Life Support Course (ALS) or ACLS;
Authorised Drug Collection Officer;
Proficient computer skills for operational duties;
Previous experience in the provision of general primary healthcare in a non-hospital environment in a remote environment;
A well-developed knowledge of, and experience in the application of Emergency Response Services within the mining sector or equivalent environment.

Desirable

Experience in return-to-work programs and mental health support;
Cert IV TAE;
Competent to provide immunisations and vaccinations – Current certificate of completion for “Health Immunisation Update” preferable;
Fitness to work (FTW) assessments;
Rehabilitation and return to work (RTW);
Health promotion and wellness experience.
