About the role


Reporting to the Philanthropy and Fundraising Senior Manager, the Philanthropy Lead coordinates regular fundraising appeals and campaigns, prepares a range of compelling funding proposals and plays an important role in understanding who our donors are and what motivates them to support the RFDS. This position also plays an important role in nurturing supporter relationships and providing excellent donor care.

About you


The successful candidate will have:

Prior major appeal or campaign experience with demonstrated fundraising results and return on investment.
Advanced writing and content production skills, including demonstrated experience in areas such as fundraising appeals, funding and grant proposals or stakeholder/supporter communications.
Proven ability to contribute to planning, analyse results and work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team to meet strategic priorities.
Exceptional relationship management skills and attention to detail to maintain the highest standards of integrity and donor care across all areas.
Effective time and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to help nurture and enhance both internal and external relationships.
A positive, adaptable approach to work with demonstrated problem-solving capability.

Desirable

An understanding of data and data analytics pertaining to fundraising, philanthropy or direct marketing and third-party platforms.
Prior major gifts experience with demonstrated results in securing philanthropic gifts.
Experience in Blackbaud Raisers Edge NXT (Fundraising and Donor Management Solution).
A working knowledge of third-party fundraising platforms.
Understanding of digital fundraising concepts and opportunities.
FIA Code of Conduct certified.
Fundraising and philanthropy experience or a successful background in stakeholder engagement and communications with at least 3-5 years’ experience will be highly regarded.
