Base Administrator
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) has an outstanding history of service and excellence in aero-medical and primary health care across Australia. One of Australia’s most iconic brands, every hour of every day the RFDS is performing lifesaving work across Western Australia.
A rare opening has become available for an experienced, part-time (3 days) Administrator to join our talented team as a Base Administrator for our base in Meekatharra. Playing an integral role in the administration and coordination of base operations.
About the role
- Acting as a key point of contact for the base managing incoming queries from key local stakeholders, customers, contractors, members of the public;
- Ensuring a clean, tidy and harmonious office environment is maintained at all times;
- Coordinating maintenance, cleaning and trade contracts activities for RFDS properties and base premises;
- Undertaking routine administration and word processing tasks;
- Working in collaboration with base seniors to ensure that new and relieving staff are orientated properly in base operations and the local area;
- Supporting the Senior Medical Officer in the coordination of doctor rosters for clinics;
- Organising meetings, tour groups and functions;
- Managing the company vehicle fleet for the base;
- Managing local distribution and collection of fundraising tins;
- Updating IT and accounting systems.
About you
- Previous administration and reception experience, with a commitment to high standards in customer care;
- Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to undertake multiple tasks within critical timeframes, with minimal supervision;
- IT literate with a proficiency in Microsoft applications;
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment;
- Ideally possess property management experience, although not essential;
- Be resourceful, welcoming and possess good communication skills.

- Permanent, part-time contract - 20 hours per week

- Salary packaging - up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment expenses
