Help keep the Flying Doctor flying!

From 24/7 medical emergencies to primary health care, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) exists to support healthier and happier Australians, no matter where they live, work or play. Every year, we assist more than 47,000 patients in South Australia and the Northern Territory – one patient every 10 minutes.

It is only with support from the community that we can continue to deliver this life-saving service. The RFDS relies on the community's generosity to bridge the gap in its operational funding and to purchase its ‘flying intensive care units’ at a cost of more than $12 million each.

Our biggest event of the year, the ‘Wings for Life’ Gala Ball is coming up at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday 16 May 2026 and this year, expect the unexpected! Thanks to the generous support of the community, this sell-out event (1000+ guests) has become a highlight on Adelaide’s social calendar.

The 2026 theme will be released shortly. For now, all we can say is: step onto the board, roll the dice and take a chance. This is a night you won’t want to pass.

Pink goes good with green!

It was the wickedest night at our ‘Wings For Life’ Gala Ball at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday, with more than 1,000 Ozians joining the magical Emerald City Ball edition.

A thrillifying $240,000 was raised on the night, which will directly benefit our capital-raising program for the purchase/replacement of our ‘flying intensive units’, so that we can continue to provide the finest care to the furthest corner.

Our sincere gratitution to MC Ali Clarke, entertainment acts Ding Productions, The Robbie Williams Experience (Louie Lee Fetrin) and Motel Music, volunteers, prize donors and all our guests.
