Simulator volunteers needed!
We are seeking volunteers for our RFDS simulator.
Taking the simulator to events
Throughout the year, our simulator attends a number of community and private events. It's a great opportunity for people to see inside a RFDS aircraft - the simulator is a 1:1 replica of our PC-12 aeromedical aircraft.
- You'll be required to set up the simulator (some lifting required) and show the general public through
- A RFDS Toyota Prado is provided and accommodation is provided when away from Adelaide
- When attending country shows etc, help from our local RFDS support groups is generally provided to give our simulator volunteers time to enjoy the show
- Training and RFDS information provided.
Examples of events that the simulator attends:
- Field Days
- Country Shows
- School Visits
- Christmas Pageants.
About you:
- You are passionate about the RFDS, you love travel and have towing experience - you will be taking our simulator (9m x 3m) on trips around the city and country SA!
- A current drivers licence is required along with a current Working with Children check (we will apply on your behalf if you need)
- Willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’ as some lifting is required
- Ability to represent the RFDS in a professional manner.
