Festivities kick off at the Outback Pioneer Hotel & Bar on Friday night with the lively Camel Cup Calcutta. Join the locals with boot scooting, live entertainment and the opportunity to syndicate bid on your favourite camel ahead of Saturday’s award winning Uluru Camel Cup races. Kick start your evening with a traditional Aussie dinner at the Bough House Restaurant. Enjoy the spit roast of the day served alongside a delicious Australian outback-style buffet whilst experiencing our warm and friendly outback service. Make sure to get there early as it's a popular night, restaurant open 5.30pm to 9.30pm.
Saturday’s celebrated Uluru Camel Cup Race Day begins with qualifying races followed by an exciting Dash for Cash, Plate Race and the Uluru Camel Cup itself. Off the track there is plenty to see and do for the whole family with stock whip demonstrations, wheel barrow races, kids’ sack race and even a camel dung throwing competition. A kids club will be available on the day as well as lively outback-style markets.
We encourage you to frock-up (dress up for the races) and partake in the ever-popular Fashions on the Field complete with a parade and presentation.
The weekend will culminate with a true blue Frock Up & Rock Up Gala Ballset under the sparkling outback night sky, complete with a red desert dance floor, light BBQ style supper and live entertainment.
