Burra Picnic Races

Don't miss the Burra Picnic Races on Saturday 26 October at Thistlebeds Station, east of Burra.

Catering to a crowd of all ages, both from local surrounds and visitors from afar, the Burra Picnic Races proudly supports the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia and raises significant funds for local community groups and organisations.

Racegoers can enjoy a wide range of events, from horse racing and gymkhana, to fun family-friendly spectator activities including Fashions on the Field, wheelbarrow races, tug 'o' war, sheep racing and a bouncy castle. 

Full catering and bar will be available throughout the day, along with live entertainment into the evening. Camping available. Just over two hours from Adelaide, Burra offers visitors a slice of the outback, complete with red dust and open spaces.
