About this Opportunity


During this 12-18 month fixed term parental leave contract as the Senior Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing day to day facilities management of all RFDS SA/NT infrastructure, including bases, clinics and accommodation, as well as the development and management of site service contracts. You will also be responsible for the fleet management program, including facilitating vehicle maintenance and servicing.

Specifically, you will:


- Contribute to the success of your team by coordinating and managing the RFDS SA/NT facilities operations, including co-ordination of repairs and maintenance to buildings, plant, fleet, and equipment.
- Provide senior support and guidance to the Facilities Coordinator.
- Promote creative ideas to improve efficiencies and develop organisational systems, procedures and schedules for asset and facilities management.
- Manage tender/procurement processes for identified services/support and associated contractor relationships and performance.
- Establish and maintain fixed asset registers and databases.
- Provide oversight to RFDS SA/NT site security requirements including CCTV and access control.
- Oversee accommodation, develop routine inspection schedules, determine future accommodation requirements and develop plans as needed.
- Actively participate in worksite inspections to maintain all safety and quality accreditation programs.


About You


To be successful in this role, you will have:


- 5+ years of experience working in project, facility, or business management in the property industry (or similar).
- Proven experience in facilities or asset management operations, industry best practice, building codes, and legislative requirements relating to facilities management.
- Strong customer service skills with a high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Significant experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of business priorities.
- A building industry trade qualification or 5+ years of experience in a building trade role (would be an advantage but not essential).
- Strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Experience in solving complex problems and making decisions under pressure, with a strong work ethic.
