About this Role


Reporting to the Operations Manager, South and Central Australia, this newly created role is responsible for establishing the new facilities management function across our four aeromedical bases in SA and NT, remote clinics, accommodation, and vehicle fleet.

The role is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of facilities management including:

• Developing organisational systems, procedures and schedules for asset and facilities management
• Developing, implementing and managing an asset management database
• Developing and managing site service contracts
• Producing annual maintenance and servicing plans (and budgets) for facility improvements and upgrades
• Establishing and maintaining fixed asset registers and databases
• Managing and monitoring contractor performance
• Repairs and maintenance to buildings, plant and equipment
• Developing a regular service schedule and servicing of all fleet vehicles
• Responding to urgent issues and requests for repairs, maintenance and faults to equipment and amenities
• Reconciling invoices for contracted services
• Overseeing accommodation and develop routine inspection schedules
• Actively participating in worksite inspections to maintain all safety and quality accreditation programs

About You


To be successful in this role you will have:

• 5 years + demonstrated project/facility/business management experience in the property industry (or demonstrable equivalency)
• proven experience in facilities or asset management operations, industry best practice, building codes and legislative requirements relating to facilities management
• Strong customer service skills with a high level of written and communication skills
• Significant experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of business priorities
• Building Industry Trade Qualifications or 5 years experience in a building trade role would be an advantage but not essential

Regular travel to Port Augusta, Alice Springs and Darwin is required with occasional travel to remote clinics and locations in Marla, Marree, Mount Gambier and Andamooka.
