Serving South Australia and the Northern Territory, the team at RFDS Central Operations exists to support happier and healthier Australians, no matter where they live, work or play.
We continually invest in our people, infrastructure, and technology to improve our patient-centred care.
About this Opportunity
This is an exciting time to join our team as we continue to expand our dental services within remote South Australia and the Northern Territory. Based out of our Adelaide or Port Augusta bases, you will be required to provide a high standard of dental assisting skills (both clinical and administrative) to our team of dental clinicians. This position requires periods of time away from home, traveling in our state of the art aircraft or driving to our communities.
This is a full-time, fixed term position until 30/06/2025. The successful incumbent to this position will be required to travel regularly to rural and remote areas across SA and NT.
About You
To be successful in this role you will be a qualified Dental Assistant seeking to experience the excitement of health provision in the outback. Your strength lies in your ability to problem solve and think on your feet. You will have a working knowledge of infection control, sterilisation and waste segregation procedures along with a high level of competency in using electronic patient records systems. You have delivered oral health services to a diverse range of patients, including children, older patients and first nations people. Working with a supportive team of Dentists, Hygienists and other Dental Assistants you will also possess a willingness to work in non-traditional environments. Applicants with experience in delivering oral health services in rural and remote areas will be highly regarded!
Why join us?
As part of our team, you can expect to be provided with challenging, interesting work and be supported to achieve your best. We offer a supportive environment where our people are valued and professional development is encouraged.
