About the RFDS (Central Operations)
We are the leader in providing emergency aeromedical and essential primary health care services to people who live, work and travel in rural and remote Australia. As we approach our centenary of saving lives, we have launched a new Strategic Plan with a focus on becoming more specialised, more innovative and a better connected health service provider.

About the Opportunity

RFDS Central Operations operates primary health care clinics in Marree, Andamooka and Marla in remote South Australia. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Remote Area Nurses (RAN) to join our primary health care team in a casual capacity.

The clinics are open Monday to Friday (0830-1700) with an after hours on-call service over a 7 day roster. RFDS Central Operations operates a two staff model with attractive rostering allowing for improved flexibility and lifestyle. The casual RANs will be required for periods of planned leave (study/annual leave) and unplanned absences. Placements to be a minimum of 2 weeks.

About you

You will be an AHPRA Registered General Nurse, with a sound grounding in primary health care, good clinical assessment skills, a sense of adventure and a professional approach to service delivery. The right person will also enjoy working collaboratively with community members and the broader multi-disciplinary health team in the delivery of primary health and emergency care. You will be highly motivated, flexible and eager to make a difference in the health of this remote community.

Our Benefits

As part of our team you can expect to be provided with challenging, interesting work and be supported to achieve your best. This is an exciting opportunity offering attractive remuneration, extensive orientation and generous continuing education options.

New to remote work? We’d love to hear from you.

If you have an adventurous spirit and enjoy making a positive difference to the health outcomes of individuals living in remote and rural communities and upholding the RFDS standard of providing the finest care to the furthest corner, this opportunity could be for you.
