About this Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Program Manager Operations, you will be responsible for the oversight, management and delivery of projects from start to finish for operational initiatives, projects, construction / redevelopment and services across the organisation.
We believe our people – all of our people – keep the Royal Flying Doctor Service flying.
Specifically, you will:
- Lead the delivery of operational strategic projects including developing project plans, monitoring milestones and key performance indicators.
- Monitor project progress against project plans to ensure that outcomes are achieved in accordance with objectives, milestones and relevant activities.
- Engage extensively with internal and external Subject Matter Experts to inform project plans and deliver on project objectives
- Provide advice and input into the development of policies, procedures, guidelines and supporting documentation.
- Prepare presentations incorporating complex content for distribution to both internal and external audiences.
About You
You are:
- Experienced in managing projects linked to key strategic initiatives in a complex organisation.
- Experienced in leading and managing staff with the capacity to influence, build and manage internal and external relationships.
- Able to influence, lead and facilitate change management programs.
- Efficient and effective in the management of human, physical and financial resources.
- Flexible with a willingness to take ownership of position responsibilities.
To be considered for the role you require:
- A Diploma in Project Management (or 5+ years of Project Management experience).
- The ability to attain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and Working with Children Check (Ochre Card).
- The ability to work independently with limited direction while managing competing demands to meet deadlines.
- A high level of integrity and confidentially when dealing with issues of a sensitive or personal nature.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective organisational and planning skills, with proven ability to adapt work practices to political, socio-economic and system level change
- Previous experience working with high workloads, ambiguity, complexity and varied responsibilities.
