About this Role


Reporting to the Operations Director, this role is responsible for developing, leading and managing a range of operational initiatives, projects and services across South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Key responsibilities include:

● developing project plans aligned with strategic objectives, monitoring and reporting on key milestones and key performance indicators
● support the Operations Director, to ensure resources are utilised effectively to enable the delivery of safe, high quality and efficient services.
● leading regular project meetings with representatives with internal departments and external stakeholders ensuring progress of actions with relevant individuals
● developing and implementing new service delivery models in line with the RFDS SA/NT Strategic Plan.

About You


To be successful in this role you will have:

● Highly developed skills in people leadership and change management, with proven ability to work effectively with staff from various disciplines.
● Effective organisational, planning and project management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure to meet urgent requirements and adapt work practices to political, socio-economic and system level change
● Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills
● Experience in leading and managing staff, capacity to influence, build and manage internal and external relationships and coordinate teams of diverse interests to achieve agreed objectives.

Qualifications in Project Management or a related discipline are essential and experience in the clinical, emergency services or aviation space is desirable.

Regular travel to Port Augusta, Alice Springs and Darwin may be required with occasional travel to remote clinics.
