Australia's most reputable charity, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Central Operations (RFDS CO) provides emergency aeromedical and primary health care services to those who live, work and travel in rural and remote Australia.
Reporting to the General Manager, Northern Territory (GMNT) this role is responsible for the coordination of mental health services delivered throughout the communities south-west and south-east of Alice Springs within the scope of the Mental Health Services in Rural and Remote Areas (MHSRRA) program.
Responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating the planning, delivery and evaluation of the mental health program in collaboration with the clinicians;
- Preparing monthly activity reports and maintenance of clinical records;
- Under the direction of the GMNT provide day to day management of clinicians;
- Provide logistical support to the team ensuring RFDS CO meets its contractual obligations;
- Develop and maintain relationships among external organisations.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, the health issues of rural and remote Australia;
- High level administrative skills;
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships across a diverse range of people;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead and communicate with staff at all levels;
- A proactive attitude and high level client service skills.
