About the role


This is an exciting key role, reporting to the Manager, Primary Health Care, and responsible for the coordination of high quality and efficient administrative support to our team of doctors, nurses, dentists and mental health clinicians from our Port Augusta clinic. Responsibilities include managing clinic bookings and following up health care with patients using the latest digital technology; diary management; recording patient information in our electronic health record systems, performing data cleansing duties to comply with reporting commitments, travel and accommodation bookings; along with general reception duties.

About You


To be successful in this role you will have significant similar experience in an administrative role, preferably in a medical environment (3+ years) with the ability to manage competing demands while maintaining quality.

You will demonstrate the ability to investigate, collate, analyse and present statistical data along with report writing, minute taking, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will have proven sound experience in the use of the Microsoft suite of products, and a range of other computer-based software.

An understanding of medical terminology, general practice accreditation and standards, and previous experience in Best Practice, PenCAT, Communicate, AIR, Proda and My Health Record would be an advantage but is not essential.

The successful candidate will be flexible and autonomous and demonstrate excellent planning, organisational and time management skills whilst using initiative to identify tasks, priorities and areas for continuous improvement and priorities.
