Operations Manager, Darwin

This is an exciting time to join us in the newly created role of Operations Manager, Darwin. As the Operations Manager, Darwin you will be required to work closely with the Senior Flight Nurse, Senior Base Pilot and Senior Base Engineer (Northern Territory) to manage the delivery of aeromedical services at our Darwin base. In addition, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the Royal Flying Doctor Service Darwin and Alice Springs tourist attractions.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have experience in leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team, within a rural, remote, regional and culturally diverse context.

You will skilfully maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of business priorities. You will have:

• Significant experience in leading and managing staff, capacity to influence, build and manage internal and external relationships and coordinate teams of diverse interests to achieve agreed objectives.
• Demonstrated success influencing and achieving culture change and the ability to lead a change management program.
• Highly developed skills in the effective management of human, physical and financial resources.
• Evidence of promoting organisational values through actions and behaviour.
• A collaborative style that supports building capability and encouraging teamwork.
• A strong orientation to delivering results that are customer centric.
• Experience working with the tourism industry at a senior level.
