About the Opportunity

We are seeking an AHPRA registered qualified Mental Health Nurse/Clinician to join our primary health care team based in Port Augusta, South Australia. This role will be focussed on the provision of Mental Health services to clients with moderate to high acuity mental health needs. Working collaboratively with our broader Primary Health Care team the role involves attendance at remote area clinics in addition to telehealth and one on one consultations.

About you

You will have demonstrated knowledge and skills in contemporary therapeutic approaches to mental health. Key to this role will be your ability to undertake mental health risk assessments and provide psychological treatment and crisis interventions. You will also assist family members to identify support services for your clients to ensure that their long-term mental health needs are being met.

To be successful in this role, you will have:


• A tertiary qualification in a relevant health discipline;
• A current registration with AHPRA and/or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate;
• Experience in mental health within a regional and remote setting is highly desired.

Paramount to success in this role will be the ability to link up and build relationships with a range of external stakeholders such as health, justice, housing and community services to ensure that clients have access to interagency support.
