Mental Health Nurse/Clinician

Join a great Australian icon. Working with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) you will be joining a team of dedicated professionals providing health care to people living and working in rural and remote Australia.

We are seeking an AHPRA registered qualified Mental Health Nurse or an AASW accredited Mental Health Social Worker to join our primary health care team based in Port Augusta, South Australia.

The role will provide low intensity mental health services to clients who are not able to access appropriate services due to living in remote locations or being ineligible for existing services. The successful candidate will deliver evidence based psychological interventions using a combination of telephone, telehealth and face to face consulting.

Experience in mental health within a regional and remote setting is highly desired, as is the ability to produce high level clinical documentation. Paramount to success in this role will be the ability to link up and build relationships with a range of external stakeholders such as, health, justice, housing and community services to ensure that clients have access to interagency support.
