Maintenance Support Officer
Join a great Australian icon. Working with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) you will be supporting a team of dedicated professionals providing health care to people living and working in regional, rural and remote Australia.
Reporting to the Head of Aircraft Airworthiness & Maintenance Control (HAAMC), this newly created role is responsible for the provision of high level support to the HAAMC to facilitate scheduling and management of aircraft airworthiness and servicing for the RFDS Central Operations’ fleet of 17 Pilatus PC12 aircraft. You will also be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the Maintenance Control System (MCS).
Further duties include:
- Daily updating of aircraft flight logs
- Coordination of work packs
- Ongoing liaison with production control to ensure the effective scheduling of maintenance
- Management of the Maintenance Control System including reviewing new inspections and updating electronic records
- Preparation of Maintenance Release documentation for certification
- Review and updating of Pilots’ operating handbooks.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in aviation maintenance control along with a thorough understanding of CASA regulatory requirements. As your priorities will be constantly shifting, you will require resilience and the ability to respond to sudden changes to work requirements.
