Key Relationship Specialist
About the RFDS Central Operations (RFDSCO)
We are leaders in providing aeromedical and primary health care services to people in remote, rural and regional locations across South Australia and the Northern Territory. As we head toward our 100th year of providing services, we launch a new strategic plan with a focus on becoming more specialised, more innovative and a better-connected health service provider.
About this Role
An exciting new opportunity to join our team of dedicated marketing and fundraising professionals. Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, this role is instrumental in the development and management of cost-effective strategies that build the number of financial donors to the RFDSCO, including all stages of donor development but specifically with our Major Donor group and ongoing Gifts in Wills portfolio.
The role will be responsible for developing strategies to continue to engage existing donors, as well as creating innovative campaigns to attract new donors and encourage financial support of the RFDS. Also key to the role is facilitating and promoting strategic fundraising efforts and events using our database (Blackbaud Raisers Edge) in conjunction with our Administrators. Further responsibilities are around development of an on-going bequest conversion program and as a guest speaker at community events to enhance our profile and increase the public’s understanding of the role of the RFDS.
About You
As a member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia and with knowledge of the FIA code of conduct, you will have demonstrated fundraising and donor development experience. You will also have experience in major gifts and partnership programs, and bequest program management.
You are a self-motivated, outgoing person with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a growing dynamic team. The right person will also demonstrate the ability to conceptualise an idea and see it through to completion, including in the production of relevant marketing material.
Knowledge of the Wealth scan platform, the philanthropic foundation and PAF’s would be an advantage.
As part of our team, you can expect varied, challenging and interesting work, providing you with the opportunity to expand your existing talents and ad hoc travel to our rural and remote bases. We offer an attractive remuneration package including salary packaging benefits.
