About this Role


Reporting to the Stakeholder Relations Manager, the Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for providing communications support to RFDS SA/NT with a primary focus on delivering communications that ensure that our employees are actively supported, engaged and informed.

We believe our people – all of our people – keep the Royal Flying Doctor Service flying.

The Internal Communications Specialist will help keep our geographically dispersed workforce connected through the effective delivery of an internal engagement plan.

Through this role, you will be inspired to:

- Create workforce communications that drive connectivity and embed purpose across the organisation.
- Successfully lead the development, oversight and measurement of effective internal communication channels that deliver on engagement targets and organisational goals.
- Partner with leaders across the business to support communications and change management for key projects in line with the RFDS Strategic Plan.
- Collaborate with a dynamic and purpose-led team to develop high-quality digital and print assets that align with the RFDS brand standards.
- Enhance the RFDS’s reputation as an ‘employer of choice’.

Please note this position may require you to travel to rural and remote areas of South Australia and Northern Territory.

About You


To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

In addition, you are:

- An experienced communicator with a strategic mindset – you can plan, prioritise and execute effective communications, as well as provide consultative support around the business to maximise value and impact.
- A relationship-builder able to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders across varying levels and roles.
- An active contributor to the team in line with our workplace values of care, collaboration, innovation and integrity.

To be considered for the role, you require tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or similar) or substantial relevant experience.
