We are leaders in providing aeromedical and primary health care services to people in remote, rural and regional locations across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
RFDS Central Operations operates primary health care clinics in Andamooka, Marla and Marree. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Health Service Assistants to support the Remote Area Nurses (RAN) in providing emergency care and other services to the community and visitors.
About the Role
Reporting to the Remote Area Nurse (RAN), this role will support the RAN in providing emergency health care and on-call services to the community and visitors. This role will be responsible for a variety of tasks including entry level clinical support, administration and safety compliance, conducting welfare checks, and liaising with the Operations Control Centre (OCC) regarding patient conditions. The role is also responsible driving the RFDS Ambulance, and ensuring the ambulance is always ready for use, and general facility upkeep.
About You
To be successful you will need:
Current first aid certificate
Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
Effective time management and organisational skills and the ability to work without direct supervision
Experience as volunteer emergency services - ambulance (highly desirable)
Full SA Drivers Licence (unrestricted), safe driving record, and ability to drive manual vehicle.
Well-developed communication skills with the desire to join a team committed to delivering integrated and quality healthcare patient outcomes
