About this Opportunity
Working within our dynamic multidisciplinary Primary Health Care Team as our next General Practice Nurse, you will be inspired to provide comprehensive complex patient care for people living in remote and isolated areas of the far North and West of South Australia.
With a focus on health promotion, illness prevention and community development, you will coordinate a holistic care approach to achieve better health outcomes for our diverse range of patients. Based in Port Augusta, this role will also provide you with the opportunity to cover Primary Health Team FIFO rosters, enabling you to build on your scope of practice and experience all that the RFDS has to offer!
About You
You are:
- An AHPRA registered nurse with extensive community nursing experience
- A passionate advocate for Primary Health Care, including patient education and health promotion in regional areas
- Computer savvy (experience across Best Practice and and PenCS CAT4 would be ideal) and in possession of high level clinical documentation skills
- In possession of ALS accreditation coupled with knowledge of emergency resuscitation techniques. This will enable you to assist with caring for critically ill or injured patients should the need arise
- A confident, independent practitioner, you also enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- A strong communicator who can adapt easily to the needs of a variety of stakeholders
