About this Opportunity
As part of our dynamic multidisciplinary Primary Health Care Team, the Base General Practice Nurse provides comprehensive complex patient care for people living in remote and isolated areas of the far North and West of South Australia. With a focus on health promotion, illness prevention and community development, the Base General Practice Nurse coordinates holistic care to achieve better health outcomes for patients and consumers. Based in Port Augusta, the role also assists to cover Primary Health Team FIFO rosters as required.
About You
An AHPRA registered nurse with extensive community nursing experience, you are a passionate advocate for Primary Health Care, including patient education and health promotion. Possessing high level clinical documentation skills, you are computer savvy with clinical software, Best Practice and PenCS CAT4. Holding ALS accreditation and knowledge of emergency resuscitation techniques, you are able to assist with caring for critically ill or injured patients should the need arise. A confident, independent practitioner, you also enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Your strong communication skills enable you to adapt easily to the needs of a variety of stakeholders.
