Australia's most reputable not-for-profit organisation, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides 24 hour emergency aeromedical and primary health care services to those who live, work and travel in rural and remote Australia. RFDS Central Operations provides services in SA and the southern half of the NT and an exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced, highly skilled professional to join the RFDS team as General Manager, People & Culture.
Based in Adelaide and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the General Manager, People & Culture has a key leadership role within the organisation and is part of the Senior Management Team. This career defining role will lead positive change, drive staff development, performance enhancements and manage Human Resources (HR) and Safety Quality & Risk (SQR) functions across this iconic business. Other key responsibilities include assisting in the development of a leadership framework including a coaching and mentoring program. The implementation of strategic and operational objectives and ensuring the organisation can respond quickly to change by establishing effective change management strategies are core responsibilities in this position. You will be required to lead a committed team of staff, oversee policy and systems development and provide ongoing analysis and forecasting on HR and SQR initiatives.
