Australia's most reputable charity, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides 24-hour emergency aeromedical and primary health care services to those who live, work and travel in rural and remote Australia.
RFDS Central Operations (serving SA & NT) is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic professional to undertake this newly-created contract role to maximise fundraising revenue to the organisation through stewardship and management of an ethical fundraising program, including development of cost-effective strategies that increase donations from younger audiences.
Reporting to the General Manager, Marketing & Public Relations, the Fundraising Manager will be accountable for achieving annual fundraising revenue targets and delivering sustainable growth in the RFDS donor/supporter base, including the strategy development and leadership of its team execution across the mainstream fundraising portfolios of donors, bequests, community, major events, trusts/foundations and volunteers.
A key member of the Marketing & Public Relations team, to be successful you must have:
- Minimum five years' demonstrated fundraising and/or donor development experience
- Proven track record in leading a team of high performing individuals
- Demonstrated experience in strategy development and campaign/project management
- Proven success rate with philanthropic trusts & foundations
- Skills to work effectively and maintain relationships with a diverse range of people within the community
- Ability to prioritise and meet challenging deadlines.
