About this Role


Reporting to the Operations Manager, this newly created Facilities Manager role is responsible for establishing the new facilities management function across our four bases in SA and NT, remote clinics, accommodation, and vehicle fleet.

The role is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of facilities management including:

- Repairs and maintenance to buildings, plant and equipment
- Coordinating maintenance and servicing of all fleet vehicles
- Responding to urgent issues and requests for repairs, maintenance and faults to equipment and amenities
- Reviewing, developing, and embedding facility management improvements into RFDSCO
- Establishing and maintaining fixed asset registers and databases
- Managing and monitoring contractor performance
- Reconciling invoices for contracted services
- Overseeing accommodation and develop routine inspection schedules
-Actively participating in worksite inspections to maintain all safety and quality accreditation programs

About You


To be successful in this role you will have:

- Demonstrated Project management experience to develop and implement new processes and systems with a view to improve efficiencies
- Previous experience in facilities or asset management operations, industry best practice, building codes and legislative requirements relating to facilities management
- Strong customer service skills with a high level of written and communication skills
- Significant experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of business priorities

Regular travel to Port Augusta, Alice Springs and Darwin is required with occasional travel to remote clinics in Marla, Marree and Andamooka.
