About this Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Retrieval Nursing Director as the Equipment Nurse, you will lead the lifecycle management of healthcare-related equipment that is owned and operated by RFDSCO, ensuring it is fit for purpose and meets required standards across several our bases in SA and NT.Specifically, you will:

  • Be motivated to ensure that equipment quality and safety standards are met
  • Identify improvements in equipment use and storage to ensure longevity and loss reduction outcomes
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and audits and contribute to the purchasing of equipment
  • Deliver device-related education and fault resolution services
  • Assist with the introduction of new equipment and associated training requirements

About You

You are a current registered nurse who is seeking to continue their career with a leading health and emergency services provider, or you are a registered nurse with an interest in developing a career in relation to equipment management.

You are:

  • Naturally organised, efficient and possess excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable – you enjoy working independently or as part of a team depending on the task at hand
  • An astute communicator, in possession of a high level of written (including report writing), verbal and presentation skills

To be considered for the role you require:

  • current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • demonstrated interest in equipment management
  • knowledge and understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards
  • the ability to analyse and utilise clinical data
