About the RFDS (Central Operations)

We are leaders in providing aeromedical, primary health and oral health care services to people in remote, rural and regional locations across South Australia and the Northern Territory. As we head toward our 100th year of providing services, we launch a new strategic plan with a focus on becoming more specialised, more innovative and a better connected health service provider.

About this Opportunity

This is an exciting time to join our team as we expand our dental services within remote South Australia and the Northern Territory. With a strong focus on prevention and managing periodontal health, our program requires a clinician with excellent communication skills, who has a sound understanding of the links between oral health and whole body health. This position requires a high level of proficiency in clinical, administrative and health promotion skills. This position involves working away from home for periods at a time, traveling in our state-of-the-art aircraft, commercial flights and driving to our communities.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have significant clinical experience, a current Radiation licence and AHPRA registration. Demonstrating adaptability, you use initiative out in the field to support all members of the dental team in their roles. You will have a thorough knowledge of sterilisation procedures and be able to manage the logistics of dental equipment and instrument requirements.

Why join us?

As part of our team, you can expect to be provided with challenging, interesting work and be supported to achieve your best. Working with a highly motivated and diverse team, this position offers the opportunity to be a part of a growing and evolving program that continuously strives to reduce barriers to oral health care for at risk populations.
